THE TOURNAMENT
 
The tournament will start Thursday 15 July 2010 evening ,with a parade in the streets of the town and the opening ceremony.
The games will start Friday 16 in the morning and will finish Sunday 18 evening.
Category RAGAZZI will make provision for 8 teams divided into 2 groups.
Every team will play 4 matches (5 for the finalists 1^st –2^nd and 3^rd –4^th place).
Category CADETTI will make provision for 8 teams divided into 2 groups.
Every team will play 4 matches (5 for the finalists 1st –2nd and 3rd –4th place).

CATEGORIES

RAGAZZI is for the youth born in years 2001 - 2000 – 1999 - 1998

CADETTI is for the youth born in years 1997 - 1996 -1995 – 1994

ORGANIZATION

SMBJ can guest 13 players + 2 managers for each team; overnight for guested teams will be in a school of S.Martino B.A. where a mattress placed on the floor will be available; players will have to bring personally, sleeping bag or sheets and pillow. For a better confort they could bring an inflatable mattress.

Together with the enrollment, clubs will have to deposit Euro 300 on our club’s account.

EURO 250 are for enrolment , EURO 50 will be returned on Sunday evening after the awards.

Each team will provide a box of baseballs to be used during the tournament

Enrolment includes : all meals from dinner on Thursday till lunch on Sunday , overnight at school from Thursday night July 15 till Sunday morning July 18. IMPORTANT: all the teams must leave the schools with their own bagagges in the morning of sunday 18, because the schools have to be cleaned!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner for players and technicians will be provided by our organization. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at our restaurant set nearby the baseball fields (150 places).

Teams' arrival is scheduled on the afternoon of Thursday July 15 around 4.00 pm. At 08.00 pm, on the same day, the opening cerimony with parade will take place.
At 10.30 pm, on the same day, a meeting of our organization committee with team’s technicians will take place.
Departure of the teams are scheduled on the evening (around 8.00 pm) of Sunday July 12 after prize giving and closing ceremony of the tournament.

For parents or companions a free camping area will be available inside the sport center with free acces at the shower and the toilet. During the tournament an inexpensive refreshment service will be available for guests.
Our club is at your disposal to help you with book arrangements for hotel or for any information you may need.

In the evenings of the tournament you may relax with a refreshment stand and live music .

WHO WE ARE

S MARTINO BASEBALL JUNIOR (SMBJ) began in 1997 from S MARTINO BASEBALL. SMBJ was created to provide a more intense focus on the interests and development of young players. Although both groups reside within one Society, the two groups are independent of each other. An executive board of 12 decide everything concerning the activities of all seven teams : ADVANCED MINIBASEBALL – RAGAZZI – ALLIEVI – UNDER 21 – RAGAZZE SOFTBALL - SERIE B SOFTBALL - AMATEUR . With 140 players associated and 192 effective associated SMBJ is one of the biggest baseball club in Veneto. SMBJ's major purpose is the spreading of sports among the youth

One of the most important monuments is the ARENA ( a wonderful amphitheatre famous all over the world for the summer performances of lyric opera ) but you’ll find a lot of other very interesting historical monuments.The town is 25 km from GARDA LAKE and 100 km from VENICE.

The tournament will start Friday 9 July 2010 in the morning and will finish Sunday 11 evening.
Category UNDER 13 will make provision for 8 teams divided into 2 groups.

Category UNDER 17 will make provision for 8 teams divided into 2 groups.
